BREAKING: INEC Declares Tinubu Winner of 2023 Presidential Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the early hours of Wednesday declared Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) , winner of the February 25 presidential election in Nigeria. The result was announced at the International Conference Centre (ICC),

In total, the votes announced by INEC from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the national collation centre in Abuja showed Tinubu led his closest opponent, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), by no fewer than 1.8 million votes.

At the end of the collation and announcement of election results, Atiku had 6,984,290 votes to come second, while the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, came third with 6,093,962 votes. The three candidates all won in 12 states each with Rabiu Kwankwaso wining Kano state.
