Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) is to appear before the House of Representatives next week Tuesday, December 20th, over cash withdrawal limit and other matters.
This was announced by the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Idris Wase who presided over the plenary on Thursday. He confirmed that the CBN governor has sent in a letter, to inform his inability to come to the House.
The letter signed by the CBN Deputy Governor, Corporate Services, Edward Adamu and read by Wase disclosed that, the CBN governor wrote to inform the House that he was part of the delegation of the President to Washington DC and will not be able to appear before the House for his briefing on the proposed policy on cash withdrawal limits.
The briefing is therefore rescheduled for Tuesday, December 20th, 2022.
