Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has become the world record holder of the most translated book’ in history as his daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities hits 7,000 translations; making the devotional the most translated book in history.
The Rhapsody of Realities was first published in the year 2000 in English language; and started out as a book that was only available in the commercial capital city of Nigeria – Lagos. Over 20 years down the line, the devotional is now available in different formats: hard copy, digital copy, braille version for the visually impaired and the audio version. The book is also available for the different age brackets: Rhapsody for kids, for the early readers, Teevo for teenagers, and the adult Rhapsody. The biggest of all is the Rhapsody of Realities is now available in 7,000 languages of the world.
Understanding the import of this landmark achievement, the Loveworld Publishing Department of the ministry decided to host a press conference in celebration. While addressing news men yesterday, the Country Director, Equity International Initiative, Dr. Chris Iyama, speaking on the impact of the devotional said: “The Rhapsody of Realities changes mindset, it transforms lives. We are telling you today that there is no author that has ever published a book translated in 7,000 langauges.” Pastor Dipo Fisho, a zonal Pastor in the ministry said: “this book is the Word of God to the whole world. Like the scriptures say ‘send us around the world with the news of your saving power; and your eternal plan for mankind.’ That is what Rhapsody of Realities is doing all around the world.”
Speaking on the translation project of this world’s most translated book, The head of Translators Network International, Rhapsody of Realities Department; Dr. Ruky Lawal said: “our objective is to have the message of Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome available and accessible in all the langanges of the world. The translators network International is a network of inspired personalities presently in every nation of the earth.” She said these translators are volunteers who go to every length to make sure the devotional is available in that language every month.
Still talking about this laudable project, the Director of Loveworld Publishing Pastor Lola Aisida said: “It is remarkable, I must tell you, that the Rhapsody of Realities products are printed monthly and spread globally via a complex but well established, I must say, and multifaceted distribution channels. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome for the feat. Captions like “congratulations most translated writer in history” are seen on pictures of the Televangelist among other things. This media house also congratulates Pastor Chris, the Rhapsody of Realities Department team, the Translators and all members of Christ Embassy for breaking the records in world history.
