CHRIST EMBASSY: INNER CITY MISSION TRAINS 500 WOMEN IN LIBERIA

Date:

The Christ Embassy Inner City Mission for Children has trained and graduated 500 women from its Family Strengthening and Livelihood programme, an initiative of the Mission which, according to the organisation, “empowers vulnerable households with economic security activities to become financially independent, and improve their ability to cater to and protect their children from poverty and its effect, because we recognize the vital role that the family plays in the all-round development and protection of children.”

On Wednesday, the InnerCity Mission reported the graduation of the second batch of 500 women from the Family Strengthening and Livelihood programme in Liberia. The Mission made this known to the public via its superuser handle on the KingsChat social media platform; where a brief report was given about the graduation event with some pictures of the graduands receiving their certificates.

The Mission revealed that this was the fourth graduation from the programme. The post says: “today we graduated the second batch of 500 women from the Family Strengthening and Livelihood programme. Thanks to our Partners in Liberia. The women who graduated today were trained for six months in Catering and Soap Making; and also empowered with tools to start up their businesses. We thank the esteemed Pastor Alfred Mayson and the star partners of Christ Embassy Liberia for sponsoring this laudable project and restoring hope to the women who benefited from the vocational school.”

The event had different features; from the Principal’s address to exhibition of the students’ projects as well as the presentation of tools to help them start up their businesses. The Principal, Madam Geneva K. Gaar addressed the benefiaries; congratulating them on the journey so far and admonishing them towards the new phase they are going into after the event – business owners. Several of the graduands were grateful to the President of the Loveworld Nation, the Pastor and star Partners of the Christ Embassy Liberia branch for restoring their hopes and giving them the courage to face the world and win.
