Federal Supreme Court Dismisses 3 Cases Against the APC

Date:

The Federal Supreme Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has dismissed three cases against the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its gubernatorial election candidate, Dapo Abiodun; challenging the governor’s victory in the party primaries held on May 26, 2022. In the three adjudicated cases, Judge Joyce Abdulmalik dismissed the cases on various grounds, ranging from inability to bring the case to lack of jurisdiction, incompetence, tampering, academic practice and prohibition.
The judge also awarded a “joint cost” of N2m against the litigants and in favor of the APC and its nominee in each of the three cases.
