Final Results of the Just Concluded Presidential Election

In the early hours of Wednesday March 1, 2023, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, as the winner of the election and president-elect at the International Collation Centre in Abuja.

According to INEC Chairman, Tinubu scored a total of 8,794,726 votes to defeat his opponents and candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, who polled 6,984, 520 and 6,101,533 votes, respectively. Following his victory, Tinubu will now succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

The presidential election was conducted last Saturday across the country and the three leading presidential candidates, Tinubu, Atiku and Obi, won in 12 states each.
