The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) announced that taxpayers can now access their Tax Clearance Certificate in a single click by adopting its flagship TaxPro Max Solution.
The TaxPro Max is a tax administration solution introduced in June 2021 by the apex tax authority, as a one-stop for taxpayer registration, tax returns filing, tax payment, tax clearance certificate requesting, and many other functions.
The announcement of this service upgrade was made on Tuesday via its social media pages on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. There, it stated that the generation of Tax Clearance Certificates will no longer take a period of two weeks to be issued as it is now made available on a single click. The Executive Chairman of the FIRS, Mr. Muhammad Nami, said that the functionality of the service upgrade was in line with the objectives of the Service, to enable easy performance of business activities in the country. He highlighted that one of the objectives of the Service is to build a Customer-centric institution.
By doing so, solutions and innovations will be constructed to fit customer demands. He concluded by urging governments to give taxpayers value for their money.
