The Police Service Commission must approve Frank Mba and Idowu Owohunwa’s proposed redeployment, as the police commissioners for the Ogun and Lagos commands, respectively.
This is inevitable as Usman Baba, the Inspector General of Police, ordered the posting and redeployment of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Assistant Inspector General of Police, and Police Commissioners to various departments, commands, and formations around the nation on Tuesday. The Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday.
Among the redeployed officers were DIG Danmallam Mohammed, Hafiz Inuwa, Aji Janga, Adeleke Bode, Habu Ahmadu, and Shuaya’u Abdulyari.
As a result of their absence from the required promotion interview, the PSC postponed Mba, Owahunwa, and nine other Deputy Commissioners of Police’s promotion or transfer to the next tier of commissioners.
