As Nigeria celebrates her 62nd Independence anniversary, many Nigerians marked the celebration with different activities geared towards Nation Building. While some took to the streets in a political Rally, others had different Nation Building Fora. Some Christians had services in which they prayed for the nation and her leaders, especially as the general elections approach; while some took it a notch further by organising different skill acquisition programmes and commissioning community projects. The members of Christ Embassy were were not left out in the celebration; they not only gathered to have prayer services, they also went into the surrounding communities carrying out different community projects and distributing their most translated Daily Devotional: Rhapsody of Realities.
As they organised carnival floats, they also organised trainings and presentation of community projects across the nation. Some members of the branch in Ikeja organised free vocational training for youths in the lpodo community in Ikeja. Different skills such as making pastries, Do-it- yourself home hacks, and training on topics such as ‘ How to start a Profitable Business’, ‘ How to Live above Pressure in a Harsh Economy’, etc. were given to all participants.
The participants left with so much gratitude and appreciation, as well as the decision to make the most of all that they have learned. The organisers, members of the Love Culture choir of the Christ Embassy church in Ikeja said this was their own way of contributing to nation building, causing people to know the love of God and spreading the message of the gospel to every man’s world.
