Tinubu Announces New Leaders For ICPC, NAHCON, And PTDF

Date:

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has introduced fresh leadership for three critical organisations – the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), and the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

The appointments came into effect in interim roles, awaiting the approval of the Senate. The newly appointed heads are as follows: Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu for ICPC, Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi for NAHCON, and Ahmed Galadima Aminu for PTDF. Simultaneously, Mr. Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu has been designated as the Secretary of ICPC.

The President has also granted the outgoing ICPC Chairman, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, the request for pre-end of tenure leave beginning on November 4.

Arabi, a former Permanent Secretary of the State House, will take over as the NAHCON chairman, succeeding Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, who has been granted a three-month pre-retirement leave, with his official retirement set for January 17, 2024.

It is also reported that President Tinubu has approved the dissolution of the Hassan-led NAHCON board.

Aminu’s appointment as the head of PTDF is for an initial term of four years, following the application for retirement by outgoing Executive Secretary Bello Aliyu Gusau, who initiated his pre-retirement leave on September 26.
