Elites Group of Companies, a homegrown Nigerian company, has taken a step towards addressing security challenges and stimulating economic growth by inaugurating an assembly and production line for Unmanned Vehicles, drones, and other security equipment within Nigeria. This strategic initiative is a product of a substantial partnership with foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers.
The Group Managing Director of Elites Logistics & Development Services Ltd, Otunba David Adesanya, shared details about this ambitious endeavor. He pointed out that establishing the assembly and production line marks a pivotal milestone in enhancing Nigeria’s security infrastructure, contributing to the modern manufacturing industry, and yielding various socio-economic benefits for the nation and the broader African continent.
Adesanya explained that one of the core objectives of this initiative is to significantly reduce the prolonged delivery times associated with waiting for foreign equipment manufacturing companies to produce and deliver drones to Nigerian clients. By local assembly and production, Elites Logistics & Development Services Ltd aims to offer a more rapid response to the nation’s security challenges by making a wide range of technology solutions accessible for surveillance, reconnaissance, and various other purposes.
He added that this endeavor is poised to create employment opportunities for the country’s substantial youth population, thus contributing to a reduction in unemployment rates. Anticipated outcomes include not only strengthening Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product but also enhancing foreign exchange earnings, as Elites Group plans to export its Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and drones to countries in need of these crucial security tools.
Elites Logistics And Development Services Ltd operates across various sectors, including agro-allied services, renewable energy, solar smart kiosk production, infrastructure development, engineering services, and defense consultancy with procurement services.
