New Gadgets Deployed To Simplify National Identity Enrollment

Date:

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has introduced more devices across states to make it easier for people to get their National Identity Numbers (NIN). This move is aimed to help handle the increasing number of people applying for NIN.

Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the director general of the commission, gave the green light for extra enrollment systems to be sent to all states as more people are visiting state offices enrollment.

This initiative is meant to address the challenges faced during NIN enrollment, and improve efficiency. With more applicants seeking to link their NIN with their SIM cards, the pressure on NIMC has increased.

To further manage this, the commission is also ensuring smooth operations and better service. Monitoring teams are being dispatched nationwide to oversee the enrollment process, and ensure that applicants are not exploited or subjected to unethical practices.

Coker-Odusote said her administration is committed to cracking down on any form of extortion and unethical behavior among staff. Any applicant who experiences such issue is encouraged to report the matter through official channels provided by NIMC.
