LASG COLLABORATES WITH PROFESSIONAL BODIES TO OFFER TECH TRAININGS

Date:

The Lagos State Government (LASG) in collaboration with some professional bodies has created an opportunity for a developmental training for the members of these professional bodies.  The collaboration involves ALX Nigeria, the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), financial broker HFM, and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

Through this alliance, ALX Nigeria will offer specialised tech training to members of the NBA Continuing Legal Education, Lagos residents, and beneficiaries of the LSETF. The training will cover areas such as software development, data science, and Artificial Intelligence Career Essentials (AICE), equipping participants with skills essential for the digital economy.

Ruby Igwe, the Country General Manager at ALX Nigeria, expressed excitement about the partnerships; emphasising the organisation’s aim to empower professionals across sectors in order to embrace digital transformation.

The NBA sees this collaboration as crucial for enhancing the competitiveness of its members in a technology-driven world. Tobenna Erijokwe, a member of the NBA National Executive Committee, highlighted the importance of adapting to emerging legal tech trends.

Similarly, LSETF views the partnership as a catalyst for fostering entrepreneurship and creating employment opportunities for Lagosians. Ufuoma Emonena, representing LSETF, affirmed the Trust Fund’s commitment to supporting initiatives promoting skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development.

The tech training programs under these partnerships will commence in the coming months, and they will be focusing on practical, hands-on learning experiences tailored to participants’ needs.

ALX Nigeria remains dedicated to equipping the next generation with necessary knowledge and skills for the digital sector. For more information about ALX and its programs, interested individuals are advised to visit the organisation’s website.
