During a one-day familiarisation event with customers and stakeholders in Abuja, the Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Hussaini Magaji, announced that the commission is intensifying its regulation on registered entities. Magaji highlighted the necessity of ensuring compliance with post-registration expectations; emphasising a significant gap between the registration process and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Magaji stated, “Since resuming office, we have encountered compliance issues with registered entities, underscoring the importance of bridging the gap between registration and compliance.” He further elaborated on ongoing interventions aimed at establishing a reliable legal framework to regulate the activities of these entities effectively.

Furthermore, Magaji revealed the CAC’s efforts to collaborate with software vendors to enhance the Companies Registration Portal (CRP) for optimal performance. These enhancements are intended to address delays in service delivery; ultimately improving customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency within the commission.
