STANBIC IBTC PENSION MANAGERS RENOVATES YABA PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL WARD

In a commendable demonstration of corporate social responsibility , Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, a subsidiary of Stanbic IBTC Holdings, has invested over N100 million in refurbishing the Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital in Yaba, Lagos State.

The renovation project, aimed at improving the living conditions of patients at the renowned psychiatric facility, included the overhaul of both female and male wards, as well as the provision of upgraded offices for medical personnel, and a recreation area for the patients.

The management of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers announced the completion of the project during a handover event held at the hospital premises in Lagos. The comprehensive renovation project, totaling N107.857 million, encompassed the installation of hospital beds, air conditioners, fans, refurbished kitchens with essential appliances, and upgraded bathroom facilities.

Mr. Olumide Oyetan, the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to community development, and improving the lives of others. He emphasised the importance of investments in health; particularly in addressing mental health challenges in the country.

Ms. Nike Bajomo, the Executive Director of Business Development at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, expressed gratitude to all partners and stakeholders involved in the project’s success. She highlighted the collaborative effort that made the renovation project a reality and expressed optimism about the positive impact it will have on the patients’ well-being.

Dr. Olugbenga Owoeye, the CMD of Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, showed his appreciation to Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers for their support and execution of the project. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the hospital staff and management for the renovation of the wards, which will accommodate a significant number of patients in need of mental health care.
