Top Nigerian Billionaires Named On Forbes 2024 Rich List

Forbes has revealed its latest list of the wealthiest Nigerians in 2024, featuring Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga, Abdulsamad Rabiu, and Femi Otedola at the top.

Aliko Dangote leads the pack as Africa’s wealthiest individual, with a fortune of around $13.4 Billion this year. His company, Dangote Group, is a major employer in Nigeria, and a significant player in West Africa’s business landscape.

Mike Adenuga, known for his telecom company Globacom, boasts a net worth of $6.7 Billion. Abdulsamad Rabiu, founder of BUA Group, focused on manufacturing and other sectors, amassing a fortune of $5.2 Billion. Femi Otedola, chairman of Geregu Power Plc, and founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Limited, holds a net worth of $1.4 Billion.

According to Forbes, global billionaires are experiencing significant wealth growth despite economic challenges, with a record number of individuals joining the $100 Billion club. The total wealth of billionaires worldwide has reached $14.2 Trillion, with the top 20 billionaires contributing significantly to this increase.

Bernard Arnault leads the global ranking with a net worth of $233 Billion, followed by Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, and others. The United States remains the country with the most billionaires, followed by China and India.

The report also highlighted new faces among the billionaires, some of whom are Todd Graves, Maggie Gu, Molly Miao, Ren Xiaoqing, and others. It concluded with insights into the growing number of Indian billionaires, and the opportunity for Nigerians to earn in US Dollars through premium domains.
