Nigerian-American Orume Agbeyegbe-Hays is listed among America’s Top 200 Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) on Forbes’ list. As the CEO and founder of Hays CPA in New York, her inclusion demonstrates her dedication to diversity, innovation, and excellence in the accounting industry.

Agbeyegbe-Hays’s success story is a tribute to her mother’s commitment to education, even in spite of her modest upbringing in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Agbeyegbe-Hays, who holds a master’s degree in taxation from Northeastern University in Massachusetts, a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the College of Staten Island (CUNY), and a background in sociology and anthropology from the University of Benin, Nigeria, has established herself as a leader in both academia and business.

Beyond her career accomplishments, she has made a significant impact on accounting groups and as the Chairperson of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
