The Nigerian Army Force says the victim was shot In her single apartment by the alleged murderer who is still at large. The Military was quick to let the country know there is no place for violence and abuse in its institution.
“The suspect remain at large, but we will hold him accountable and ensure justice is served” said the Nigerian Army portal communication spokesperson.
Multiple eye witnesses confirm Jennifer Ugadu, an undergraduate In Delta State University was found dead In her apartment after arguing with her runaway lover.
The Nigerian Army Public Relations Office from its portal, brigadier-general said “There is no place for barbaric act In Its military institution and the Nigerian Army Force had commiserated with the family of Ms. Jennifer Ugadu.”
Furthermore; “The Nigerian Army sympathize with the family of the deceased, The military has taken the allegation seriously and joint investigation with the necessary chain of command has commenced In barracks and portals, while effort to know the true profile and ascertain the true identity of the suspect is ongoing.”
“The Army being a professional and disciplined organization will continue to uphold and respect the Fundamental Human Rights of citizens as enshrined in the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” the general said.
General Nwachukwu said details of the ongoing investigation would be made public to Nigerians.
“The Nigerian Army Force also wishes to assure the public that as a force with zero tolerance for any form of criminality in its institutiuon, such allegations will not only be investigated thoroughly, but the suspect will be made to face the full wrath of the law,” he said to reporters.
