Olu Falae Crowned a Monarch in Ondo and Gets Staff of Office

Olu Falae, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Minister of Finance, received the staff of office making him the first crowned monarch of Ilu-Abo in Akure North Local Council of Ondo State.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, while presenting the instrument of appointment to Olu Falae said the upgrade of the chieftaincy stool of the community was based on the report and recommendation of the Justice Ajama Commission which was set up by the immediate past administration in the state.

The Chief of Staff, Chief Gbenga Ale, who represented Akeredolu appealed to traditional rulers across the state not to allow the upgrade to stir up anarchy, warning against crisis in communities within the state.

The governor described the new monarch as a hardworking elder statesman that is committed to the development of his community. He stressed that the monarch is one of the few highly reputable and respected personalities, not only within Ondo State but also in Nigeria and beyond and the presentation of the Staff of Office is a long awaited victory and a big breakthrough for the entire people of Ilu-Abo and Ondo State as a whole.

In his acceptance speech, Olu Falae said he is ready and willing to join hands with his subjects to bring unprecedented development to the community and the state at large.
