PRESIDENT ORDERS EMERGENCY SECURITY MEETING

Yesterday, The President of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari, called for an emergency meeting with security personnels, to hold in Abuja today. The aim of the meeting is to review and re-strategize security measures for the nation. This was made known by the President’s spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu, in a statement in Abuja.

Malam Garba said that the President was initially scheduled to commission the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) new Technology and Innovation Complex. The President has requested that the commissioning of the NASENI Complex, be rescheduled for another date.

The meeting with security personnels is more urgent as the President had advised them on Friday, to be fearless and remain vigilant. Buhari also urged citizens to remain calm as regards travel advisories issued by the UK, Canada, and USA.
