US CONSULATE AND NGX COLLABORATE ON BOOST INVESTMENTS AND TRADE

Date:

The United States (US) Consulate General, Wills Stevens, paid a courtesy visit to Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), over the weekend. Wills gave some comments at the Closing Gong Ceremony that was held to honour his visit. He said that the US is very interested in increasing these investments and promoting the trade between both parties. The goal is to formally work with the exchange to create a mutual transaction relationship.

The Chief Executive Officer of NGX, Temi Popoola, also spoke at the event; he buttressed that there is a long-existing relationship between the US Mission and NGX. This relationship is as a result of the US Consulate’s role in Nigeria’s technology investments, agriculture, and energy sectors. He added that NGX is determined to explore possible means to enable Nigerian investors access the US markets. NGX seeks to achieve economic recovery, market capacity building, technological progress, private sector advocacy, amongst others.
